Mother of the Year: making-up

So here it is!! I am a Mom of 4, three girls and one boy!! I have been thinking for a long time about starting a blog about what the TRUE joys of being a Mom are, and then it happened. I was taking advantage of a few quiet minutes while my 3 year old son was napping and I decided to go to the bathroom by MYSELF (not something that happens very often) and all of a sudden I hear him start to whimper and he strolls into the bathroom where I am still sitting, I asked him if he had to go to the bathroom and he said no but proceeded to pull down his pants and pee into the toilet. Unfortunately I was still on the toilet and so he was actually peeing all over me! I had just painted my bathroom the night before and I had about 5 minutes before his sisters got off of the bus so I had to take a quick bath with my son before the rest of the kids came home! As I laughed about the whole situation I thought, this is it I have to start that Blog!!! So here it is my blog about all the not so nice happenings that make being a Mom such an amazing experience!!! I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy sharing all of my stories!

making-up

After a very long weekend, my husband and I were lying in bed mid-afternoon, taking in all that had happened over the weekend and the kids were sent downstairs to get ready to go outside. My 10 year old says to her sisters, "Where are Mom and Dad?" My 6 year old responds, "They are making up." My 10 year old then asks, "What are they making up for?" and the response from her 6 year old sister was, "You know they are kissing and stuff!" Needless to say, we were not "making up" but that conversation did make a happy ending to the otherwise stressful weekend we had!!
