I have recently found out that the kids don't know how to us a "real" manual can opener. So, while teaching my 10 year old and her cousin how to use the can opener and laughing at them as they are having to work as a team to get the can of Spaghetti O's open (another healthy lunch for us) my daughter slices her thumb open, bleeds through 4 band aids and her only concern was why they would not put her to sleep to get stitches (by the way she didn't need stitches).
